26″ x 53″ (66.4 x 88.8) Circle was woven as part of the 1916 Easter Rising Centenary Commemorations in Ireland. Growing up within the Irish Catholic culture many homes housed an image of The Sacred Heart that held together and split many communities at this time. The Circle is inspired through interpretation of this image 2016.
It was woven on a 4-shaft loom using cotton linen for the warp with cotton linen weft and mercerised cotton used in the weaving of the circle.
